Radha
Narayanan, an all
rounder, is not only
a talented dancer
but also a creative
choreographer. She
is a student of
Meenakshi
Sundararajan
engineering college
doing her 2nd year
EEE.
Radha took to
dancing at ease from
her formative age.
She has been shaped
into a proficient
Bharathanatyam
dancer under the
guidance of many
senior dancers like
Shri Binesh
Mahadevan . She was
professionally
trained for 2 years
by Yuva Kala
Bharathi Smt.Lakshmi
Ramaswamy, under
whose
guidance she
has performed in
numerous group
productions which
include ‘Silambu Vidu Thoodhu’-
performed in
Natyanjali in
Chidambaram ’03,
Trichy, Pollachi,
and Coimbatore;
‘Sangamum Sangamamum’-
performed in Music
College. At present
she is learning the
art from Smt.Sujata
Parameshwaren.
Radha was a part of
the group of four
led by her guru,
invited by the South
Zone Cultural Centre
for performing a
group production
‘Jagam Nee Agam Nee’
for the Navarathri
Celebrations
October‘03 in Sri
Lanka. Her overseas
performances also
include ‘Gnyana
Ganga’ presented in
RELC, Singapore
June’06, in which
she was one of the
choreographers
She has
choreographed,
participated and won
many cultural
competitions in
inter-school and
college levels. She
is equally
proficient in sports
and academics as
well. She is an
enthusiastic person
who shows immense
interest in teaching
kids the art.
She has been an
active member of
CHYK for the past 3
years and has also
played lead roles in
theatre plays cast
by The CHYK which
includes the
performances in
Chennai, Bali
(Indonesia), Hosur,
etc. |
