Advaita Mane is a young, talented and promising Odissi dancer emerging on the horizon of Indian Classical Dance.
She has been learning Odissi under the able guidance of renowned Kathak and Odissi exponent, Guru Smt. Yogini Gandhi (www.yoginigandhi.com) for the past 12 years at the Kalanidhi Institute, Pune.
Endowed with a pleasing stage presence, Advaita’s dance brings forth the lyrical grace of Odissi through her elegant movements and emotive expressions.
She is one of the leading dancers of the Kalanidhi troupe, and has performed at a number of concerts presented by her Guru at Mumbai, Kolhapur, Satara, Bangalore and Pune.
To acquire an in depth knowledge of the theoretical aspect of dance, Advaita has successfully completed a Diploma in Nrityashastra from the reputed Nalanda Research Centre Mumbai.
Advaita has been privileged to receive the blessings of legendary maestros – Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, Guru Natbar Maharana, Pandit Birju Maharaj, Smt. Kanak Rele, and Smt.Sonal Mansingh, through the various workshops and seminars conducted by them.
A graduate in Philosophy, Advaita is also a member of The Poona Arts Theatre for the past many years and has appeared for several examinations in Speech and Drama from The Trinity College, London
Advaita was selected to represent India as a cultural ambassador in Brazil through the Rotary International Youth Exchange Program.
