CHINMAYA SWARANJALI – The
Music wing of Chinmaya
Mission |
|
Swara to Ishwara |
|
The origin of music lies in
the very beginning of life
itself! In the vast
orchestra of Mother Nature,
our great sages laid the
foundations of our classical
music. Great poet-saints
elevated our music to the
highest realms of devotion
and purity and entered the
realm of Life divine through
music.
Bhajans and kirtans
expressing divine glories
have the capacity to make us
pause and experience a few
moments of serenity and
peace.
In fact, in Swami
Chinmayananda’s words,
“Music is an ornamentation
of Silence” and should be
used by seekers to
experience the silence
within, in our quest towards
“Oneness” with our Divine
Self.

About Swaranjali |
|
Chinmaya Swaranjali, the
music wing of the Chinmaya
Mission, was formed by a
group of musicians inspired
by Swami Tejomayananda.
Chinmaya Swaranjali is
dedicated towards exploring
the magical and wonderful
world of devotional and
classical music and also to
spreading this joy and
devotion. This group
consisting of highly
talented singers and
musicians conduct several
programmes, sharing the
message of love and bhakti
through their melodious and
soulful music. Their unique
audio visual music shows
instill a sense of deep
devotion in the minds of the
listeners.
Deeply touched and inspired
by the teachings of Pujya
Gurudev
H. H. Swami
Chinmayananda, the members
of the group do not look
upon music as just an idle
passion, but as a dynamic
vehicle to seek the inner
source of joy and divinity.
They sing as a tribute to
their Master and Guru, they
sing to spread His message
and they sing with their
hearts soaked in His Love.
Little wonder they always
end up stirring the
audience wherever they
perform; and why not? Even
the humble ‘Damru’ produces
unparalleled music when
played in the hands of Lord
Shiva. |

About Chinmaya Mission |
|
Chinmaya Mission was
established in India in 1953
by devotees of the
world-renowned Vedanta
teacher, His Holiness Swami Chinmayananda. Under his
guidance, these devotees
formed the nucleus of a
spiritual renaissance
movement that now
encompasses a wide range of
spiritual, educational, and
charitable activities,
ennobling the lives of
thousands in India and
outside its borders.
Administered by Central
Chinmaya Mission Trust in
Mumbai, India, the Mission
is now headed by His
Holiness Swami Tejomayananda.
Following the Vedic
teacher-taught tradition
(guru-shishya parampara),
Chinmaya Mission makes
available the ageless wisdom
of Vedanta, the knowledge of
the one Reality, and
provides the tools to
realize that wisdom in one’s
life. “To give maximum
happiness to the maximum
number for the maximum time”
is the tenet that drives
Mission workers to uplift
humanity beyond selfish and
sectarian attitudes and
activities. Each person’s
gain is manifold: personal
growth, heightened
efficiency, contentment, and
the ability to live with
others in peace and harmony.
There are over 250 Chinmaya
Mission centers in India,

India. The Mission’s various
