“Tridhara”
June 28, 2009 at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya,Mumbai
The Chinmaya Swaranjali groups of Vashi, Mumbai and Thane took the Sandeepany Ashram to diviner heights with their musical offering – Tridhara – to celebrate Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayanandaji’s birthday on June 28, 2009.
The program commenced with the Vashi group rendering moving Guru bhajans. This was followed by the Mumbai swaranjali who presented the joyous occasion of the birth and antics of Shri Krishna in the first half of their program. The next half was a presentation of pieces in classical ragas representing the journey of a spiritual seeker towards his goal. The Thane swaranjali touched the audience by rendering soulful chorus bhajans. The occasion also marked the 6th anniversary of the Chinmaya Swaranjali which was also started on Guruji’s birthday, six years ago.
Swami Advaitanandaji in his ashirvachan applauded all the three groups and said that we really had the Triveni darshan on that day! He then read out a beautiful poem he had composed on Guruji and requested the Swaranjali team to set it to a nice tune. The poem described a number of qualities of Guruji including his love for music as well as his devotion to the Lord and his Guru. It was a very moving poem and it was a treat for all the devotees present.
The program concluded with all the three Swaranjali groups singing a new birthday song for Guruji composed by Brni Richa Chaitanya. The entire audience fervently joined in the singing willing all their wishes and love to reach Guruji who was physically far away from the ashram on that day.
The musical evening was a fitting way to celebrate Guruji’s birthday who is a lover of music and an accomplished musician in his own right.
