“Kavindra Ravindra”

Shri Pramod Kulkarni and Shri Umesh Purohit presented their first programme under the auspices of Chinmaya Naada Bindu on 29th July 2009.
Aptly titled ‘Kavindra Ravindra’ the programme contained beautiful compositions of Shri Ravindranath Tagore along with a few bhajans & abhangs. Songs like ‘Jaagte Raho Jawan Jaagte Raho’ & ‘Hum Kare Raashtra Aaradhan’ where the audience were requested to sing along with them aroused the patriotism existing in each one of us.
The percussionist, Shri Santosh Salve was extremely supportive. The compere for the event Shri Anand Deshmukh did a good job of compering in three different languages to suit the audience.
Overall the programme was a success and we expect to have many such programmes at all mission centres, thus providing a platform to established & budding artists alike giving us an opportunity to listen & immerse ourselves in divine music.
